RRB JE Documents Required 2026: Application & DV Checklist
For RRB JE/DMS 2026, you do not normally upload every educational or category certificate while filling the online form. The application uses a live photograph and a separate signature upload. An SC/ST certificate PDF is additionally uploaded only when an eligible SC/ST candidate claims the free Railway travel facility. Most supporting certificates are checked later during Document Verification (DV).
What Do You Need While Applying?
- Live photograph — captured through the RRB portal, not uploaded as an old passport photo.
- Candidate signature — JPG/JPEG, 30–49 KB, minimum 140×60 px and minimum 100 DPI.
- SC/ST certificate PDF — only if claiming the free Railway travel facility; PDF below 400 KB.
- Qualification/category details — keep the relevant certificates beside you so the entered information is accurate.
What Becomes Important at DV?
- Class 10 / date-of-birth proof
- Diploma / Degree certificates
- Marksheets and result-date evidence where required
- SC / ST / OBC-NCL / EWS certificates, where applicable
- PwBD / Ex-Servicemen documents, where applicable
- NOC and other supporting documents where applicable
CEN 04/2026 accepts eligibility provisionally from the information entered in the online application. The supporting certificates for educational qualification, age, caste/category and other claims are examined later by RRB during Document Verification. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}
Prepare Only the Files the RRB Portal Actually Needs
Avoid unnecessary conversion. Prepare the mandatory signature first. If you are an eligible SC/ST candidate claiming free Railway travel, prepare the certificate PDF only where that workflow applies.
Keep your qualification and category certificates beside you while filling the form even if they are not being uploaded. The details you enter now must later be supported by the original documents presented during DV.
RRB JE Documents Required While Filling the Online Form
Before starting the RRB JE 2026 application, keep your Class 10 details, qualification records, category information, Aadhaar/identity details and a compliant signature ready. Not all of these documents are uploaded—the records help you enter information that must later match your original certificates.
Upload your signature separately in the prescribed JPG/JPEG format and size.
The photograph is captured through the application workflow rather than uploaded as a normal pre-existing passport photo.
Upload the prescribed PDF only if you are an eligible SC/ST candidate claiming the free Railway travel facility.
Keep These Records Beside You Before You Start
These records help you enter the application accurately even when the portal does not ask you to upload the certificate itself.
Class 10 / Matriculation certificate Use it to verify your name and date of birth. The DOB entered in the application must agree with the recognized school record.
Diploma / Degree details Keep the prescribed technical qualification and relevant marksheets/result information available so the qualification, discipline and completion details are entered correctly.
Aadhaar / identity details Keep your identity information ready for the account and authentication workflow applicable on the RRB portal.
Category certificate details If claiming SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS or another applicable benefit, use the correct certificate information rather than entering category details from memory.
PwBD / Ex-Servicemen details, if applicable Keep the relevant supporting records available when claiming disability, Ex-Servicemen or another applicable concession.
Active mobile number and email ID Use contact details you control and can continue accessing throughout the recruitment process.
Files That May Need Preparation Before Upload
Do You Need to Upload Diploma or Degree Certificates Now?
Not as a standard online-application upload. Keep your qualification records available so the details entered in the form are accurate. The original qualification documents become critical later when shortlisted candidates are called for Document Verification.
Keep the originals safe. If you are shortlisted after CBT-II, the document requirement becomes much broader at Document Verification.
Never enter a qualification, category or concession merely because you expect to obtain the certificate later. The information claimed in the application must be supportable with the prescribed documents when RRB verifies your eligibility.
RRB JE Documents Required for Document Verification (DV)
If shortlisted for RRB JE 2026 Document Verification, candidates must produce their applicable documents in original along with two sets of self-attested photocopies. The certificates must support the age, qualification, category and other eligibility claims made in the online application.
What Should You Carry to RRB JE Document Verification?
Keep your Matriculation/SSLC certificate, Diploma/Degree certificates and marksheets ready. Depending on what you claimed in the application, you may also need SC/ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, NOC, name-change or other applicable supporting documents.
Core RRB JE DV Documents
Used as documentary proof of your date of birth and relevant personal particulars.
Bring the prescribed educational or technical qualification for the post for which you are being considered.
Keep the relevant semester/year marksheets and supporting educational records available with the qualification certificate.
Where the final certificate does not clearly establish the result declaration date, keep the applicable result or institution evidence available.
Additional Documents — Only If Applicable to You
What If Your Name Has Changed?
If your name differs between the application and educational or other records because of a legal name change, marriage or another applicable reason, keep the prescribed documentary proof supporting that change ready for verification.
Do not assume that a spelling or identity mismatch will simply be ignored during DV.
Certificate Not in Hindi or English?
If a certificate is in a language other than Hindi or English, candidates must produce a self-attested translated version in Hindi or English along with the original certificate during Document Verification.
Original Documents Matter at DV
The online application is based initially on the information declared by the candidate. Reaching CBT-II or being called for DV does not by itself prove final eligibility.
If the documents produced at verification do not support the qualification, DOB, category, reservation, relaxation or other claims made in the application, candidature can be affected under the CEN rules.
Keep Digital Copies Organized Too
The official DV requirement is based on the prescribed originals and photocopies. Separately, keeping readable digital copies of your certificates can make your own document organization easier.
Reservation, relaxation and other eligibility claims are governed by the conditions and relevant dates in CEN 04/2026. A later-created document cannot automatically cure an invalid claim made at the application stage.
The final section turns everything into one compact checklist and connects you to the next RRB JE application and document-preparation steps.
Create one physical DV folder early: keep the originals in order and prepare two clearly arranged self-attested photocopy sets. If any certificate is not in Hindi or English, prepare the required translated version before the verification stage.
RRB JE 2026 Final Document Checklist: Application to DV
The safest way to prepare for RRB JE 2026 is to separate your documents into two stages: files and records needed while applying and original certificates required later at Document Verification. Do not upload documents merely because you have them—the RRB portal decides what is required at the application stage.

RRB JE Document Mistakes That Can Create Problems
Uploading an old passport photo. RRB JE 2026 uses live photograph capture during the application.
Uploading an incorrect signature file. Prepare it within the prescribed format, size and dimensions.
Entering qualification details from memory. Use the actual Diploma/Degree records while filling the form.
Claiming a category without valid evidence. Reservation or relaxation claims must satisfy the CEN conditions.
Ignoring differences in name or DOB. Resolve documentary inconsistencies and keep applicable supporting evidence ready.
Waiting until DV to organize certificates. Originals, copies and applicable translations are easier to verify when prepared well in advance.
Move to the RRB JE Application Workflow
Once your records and upload files are ready, follow the application guide for account creation, one-RRB selection, post preferences, uploads, fee payment and final submission.
Don’t Stop at the Document List
Check the requirement, prepare the correct file and continue through the RRB JE recruitment journey with QuickPDFNow.
Prepare Your RRB JE Signature Before You Apply
The signature is an actual application upload. Prepare it before reaching the upload stage instead of resizing it while filling the form.
QuickPDFNow is an independent document-preparation platform and is not an official Railway Recruitment Board website.
Build two folders now: one digital folder containing readable copies of your important records, and one physical folder for originals and photocopies. You will avoid searching for certificates again if you reach Document Verification.
