Negative Marking Rules
Negative marking applies to incorrect answers in the objective sections of both the Preliminary and Main examinations.
- One-fourth of the marks assigned to a question is deducted for every incorrect answer.
- No penalty applies to unanswered questions.
- Main Examination sectional and aggregate cut-offs are decided by SBI.
Psychometric Test, Group Exercise and Interview
SBI will conduct personality profiling for candidates shortlisted for Phase III. The findings may be placed before the interview panel.

Final Merit and Selection Weightage

- Group Exercise and Interview marks are normalized from 50 to 25.
- Final merit is prepared using the combined normalized score out of 100.
- Candidates are provisionally selected from the top category-wise merit ranks.
- Where candidates have the same final cut-off score, the older candidate is ranked higher.
