Application Fee and Payment Rules

Fee Amount

Bihar Domicile Requirement

Reservation benefits, including the 35% horizontal reservation for women, are available only to eligible Bihar-domicile candidates.

Candidates From Other States

Candidates belonging to reserved categories of other states will be treated as unreserved candidates and must satisfy the unreserved-category age and eligibility conditions.

Women’s Reservation

The notification applies 35% horizontal reservation for eligible women who are original residents of Bihar, subject to the stated rules.

EWS Certificate

The EWS certificate must be based on income and assets for financial year 2025–26 and will remain valid for one year from its date of issue, subject to the notification conditions.

Candidates must satisfy the nationality, educational qualification, age and physical-standard conditions stated in Advertisement No. 09/2026. The relevant cut-off date for age and qualification is 01 August 2025.

Government employees: eligible Bihar Government servants who have completed at least three years of regular service may receive up to five years’ relaxation in the upper-age limit for appearing in competitive examinations for a higher pay-scale service or cadre.
Ex-servicemen: the notification provides relaxation equal to three years plus the period of defence service, subject to the candidate’s actual age not exceeding 57 years on the cut-off date.

Physical Standards

No marks are awarded for height, chest or weight. Candidates who do not meet the prescribed standards will be declared unsuccessful.
